Standing Together Against Violence

Violence can affect anyone, but no one has to face it alone. We at the Counseling Center for Women Affected by Violence Thurgau offer confidential and free support for women and female adolescents experiencing violence. Our goal is to help you find a way out, ensure your safety, and work towards lasting solutions. You decide which steps to take – we’re here for you.

About Us: Support, Safety, and Guidance

The counseling sessions are conducted by two experienced social workers specializing in domestic violence. With ongoing training in prevention, case management, and child protection, as well as years of experience supporting women affected by violence, they have the expertise to provide you with the best possible support.

We are well connected and committed to ensuring that women affected by violence receive the support they need. In addition to individual counseling, we actively work in prevention and awareness-raising to address violence and create lasting change. The needs and safety of those affected are always our top priority.

The Principles of Our Work

  • Our counseling is voluntary, anonymous, and confidential.
  • We stand firmly with those affected and name violence for what it is, without shifting responsibility.
  • Our work is based on empowerment and self-help, supporting women in reclaiming control over their lives and finding their own solutions.
  • We take a solution-focused and resource-oriented approach to strengthen women’s autonomy.
  • Confidentiality is a given.

Who We Support

Our services are for women and female adolescents affected by violence. Family members, professionals, and social institutions supporting those affected are also welcome to reach out. Together, we work towards solutions.

Our Approach

Our goal is to break the cycle of violence and lessen its impact on women and children. Our work is built on three pillars: counseling, to help individuals find their way out of violence; networking, to connect them with additional support; and public awareness, to foster understanding and drive lasting change.
